Honey bees are important because they cross pollinate most of our agricultural crops. The honey bee population has been declining since 2008. Some reasons for the decline include the temperature changes and farming practices. So far, the honey bee population is not on the endangered list so we must continue to do what we can to help. Plant bee friendly plants such as hostas, cone flowers, and zinnias among others.
